SelfPortraits

These bizarre but really interesting images! Strange how people can express themselves in so many different ways!

There’s nothing more upsetting than seeing a cute little rat slaughtered in the middle of the road.

obscureoddities:

Geza De Kaplany was a Hungarian doctor practicing medicine in San Jose, California, in the early 1960’s. He was married to ex-beauty queen and model named Hajna, who he soon became extremely paranoid about.

He was convinced that the younger woman was having affairs behind his back while he was at work. Geza, who had always been known as somewhat of a snob and an elitist, became convinced that without her beauty and allure, other men wouldn’t be attracted to her. So on the morning of August 28th, 1962, de Kaplany’s neighbors were awoken by classical music blasting through the walls, and almost completely obliterated by the noise, the sound of screams. After alerting the police and pounding on the door for well over an hour, the music stopped and de Kaplany opened the door, wearing only his underwear and a pair of rubber gloves. He was grinning and kept saying that he needed to get back to work and couldn’t be bothered. Police barged in to discover Hajna de Kaplany, naked and spread-eagled on the bed, appallingly disfigured from the bottles of acid surrounding the room. Geza had been at it for days - making small incisions all over her body and then dousing her with nitric, sulphuric and hydrochloric acid. Her genitals and face were almost completely obliterated. Paramedics had to be treated for second-degree chemical burns just from handling her body. She lived for another month after finally succumbing to her gruesome injuries.
Geza de Kaplany was paroled in 1975 and moved to Thailand, where he is now a free man with a second wife.

bobster855:

Paging Doctor Frankenstein! A truly bizarre clip from a 1940 Russian film that purports to show how dead animals can be revived.  I suspect that at least part of it is faked - that dog’s head - eek!  More of this film here:
