About

Hey there, have a bit of a love for the more grotesque side of life...or death as it may be? We here at GWU love blood and gore and things of that nature too! We can only post so much though, and your submissions would be awesome additions to our blog. Hit counter

A bird found in pieces in Croydon, Australia. Yesterday, its neck was broken. A scavenger has come in the last 24 hours and destroyed it. The surrounding area is covered in feathers.

This noncancerous tumor was removed from the nasal cavity of my cat, Annie, earlier this year. This type of growth is fairly common and can recur (but so far Annie hasn’t had any problems). In my cat’s case, the growth was severely obstructing her airway and contributing to a chronic upper respiratory infection. The vet who eventually removed the tumor said it was the largest of its kind he’d ever seen, and told me he was going to put it in a jar for display purposes.
And as a bonus, here’s a picture of Annie about a week after the tumor was removed. She only weighed about seven pounds then, just to put into perspective how big that thing was.
